We stayed at the Anchor with our 3 sons and partners.
The 8 of us had a great time in Che’s lovely place. Being a converted pub, it has retained a lot of the original/authentic features. This coupled with the modern living areas and kitchen made it a fabulous place for our 60th birthday celebrations.
Che was the perfect host providing lots of information prior to our arrival. We asked for recommendations on where to eat locally and were provided with a number of great options. We went for a meal at Spice in Sutton (one of Che’s recommendations) and had a superb meal. The staff and food were amazing and definitely worth a visit when you stay at the Anchor.
The hot tub is a lovely addition to be able to relax in following a day exploring the local cities. Ely is especially nice to look around and has a great selection of eateries.
All in all a fabulous place, by the riverside, with beautiful surroundings and ideal for walking and exploring the area.
